CHOON AWARDED THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH BEST PRACTICES AWARD FOR INNOVATION (Oct 04)

The Occupational Health Best Practice (OHBP) Award scheme was introduced by the Ministry of Manpower in 2004 as an enhancement to the Noise Control Award Scheme started in 1999. The OHBP award recognises companies that have made significant contributions to control workplace health hazards.

This year, we are proud to be conferred the INNOVATION award for creative noise control at the workplace. This is for our deployment of the robots for carrying out heavy demolition works at a signficantly reduced noise level compared to that of industry standard excavators. The awad was presented by Minister of Manpower Dr Ng Eng Hen to our Exec Director Engineer Phua Eng How at the OHBP conference held on the 19 Oct 04. As recognition of our efforts, Choon is also now a member of the prestigious OHBC club, where we will work with industry leaders to improve and pioneer best practices to further improve safety at our workplace.
